Mark Eichhorn
- In 1986 and 1987, he threw submarine pitches that finished so far outside to right-handed hitters that the catcher would have to dive to retrieve them. The hitters would swing at them anyway.
- In 1986, when asked the secret of the bullpen's success, he replied something like, "I throw (doo-doo) and Henke throws gas."
- Was apparently offered a start on the last day of the 1986 season when he was five innings short of the total required for the ERA title, but declined.
- Tried a comeback in the minor leagues in the early 2000's, and might have made The Show again, but retired to stay with his family.
