Robbie Alomar
- Got very good press when he first arrived in Toronto; he was young, and eager to play and learn.
- Caught a ball in foul ground on the first base side during the 1993 World Series.
- During a 1991 spring training game that was being broadcast, Alomar charged a slow roller to second, and scooped and threw it to first almost in the same motion. Buck Martinez's comment was, "Get used to that, folks."
- When on third with less than two out, and a ball is hit to the third baseman, Alomar would move far enough off third to tempt the runner into trying to get him out. When the throw finally went to first, Alomar would go home.
- "Bar none, the Blue Jay with the highest baseball I.Q. I can recall."
- Liked to throw behind the runner at third on cutoff plays.
