- The entire team dyed their hair blonde at one point.
- CIBC once had a poster of Ernie Whitt and Willie Upshaw exchanging a high five against a black backdrop.
- Ontario Hydro ran a commercial in 1985 reminding visiting pitchers that there would always be plenty of hot water available for their showers. When the last Jays hitter hit one completely out of the park (I think it was Willie Upshaw), the amazed "fan" who picked up the ball outside the stadium was Paul Beeston.
- The Jays hired Arte Johnson to produce some humorous promotional commercials in 1977, using a character he developed on "Laugh-In".
- Before a game in Yankee Stadium in 1985, Mary O'Dowd completely butchered the Canadian national anthem.
